Welcoming INSEAD MBA Visitors to Nozomi Energy

On May 29th, Nozomi Energy welcomed a group of MBA candidates from INSEAD as part of their Japan – Korea study trip. The visit offered a valuable opportunity for mutual learning and exchange on the evolving landscape of renewable energy in Japan.

During the session, our leadership team introduced key aspects of Nozomi’s business. CTO Ben Roelandts shared reflections on our two-year journey – covering both progress and key challenges faced in scaling a renewables platform from scratch. Head of C&I, Yuichiro Mashiko explained our approach to corporate PPAs, and CFO Daisuke Ouchi gave an overview of financial and risk management in the context of Japan’s energy market. Yasushi Hibi, Head of Sustainability, shared Nozomi’s sustainability vision and the framework we use to integrate ESG principles into every part of our operations.

The session wrapped up with a lively Q&A, where students – representing a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds – asked thoughtful questions on strategy, finance, operations, and sustainability. Their curiosity and perspectives made for a dynamic exchange.

We were honored to be part in their Japan experience and look forward to continued dialogue with the next generation of global business leaders.
